Plaster is the end of the line for a pool interior. Acid washing takes a layer off and there are only so many layers; once the surface is spent, re-plastering is the honest answer and anything else is deferral.
It is a drained job and a multi-day one. Nobody should be sold it who does not need it, which is why it is at the bottom of this list rather than the top.
